I quit my job for this.
Updated: Jul 4, 2019
It seems cliche these days, to say the least. It's like everyone is "quitting their job to follow their passion". But make no mistake, I am the type of person that second guesses EVERYTHING and leaving a full time job...in marketing...in the Cayman Islands...making tax free money...wait, what did I do!!?
Well, it's too late now, I guess. It's true, I had a full time and amazing job in marketing making digital content for a major hotel brand in the Cayman Islands. And I left it all behind because, well, what is growth without a little risk..right? Please say yes! Anyone?
Okay okay, let's be real. I knew what I was doing. I had worked in the same position for nearly 3 years and even though I had creative freedom and essentially was a department of one, I fell into the inevitable "creative spin cycle". I needed something fresh and that came in the form of a complete life overhaul. Quitting my job, packing up my life belongings and moving to Austria to start my own company and do what I love doing, and do it to the best of my ability.
So, here we go. It's time to disrupt digital media practices and challenge the way things have been done for years. The industry and our audiences are changing and if we don't adapt, well, pack up your bags because someone else will swoop in and take your position.
